Jasper Morrison, born in 1959, is a renowned English product and furniture designer known for his elegantly simple designs, guided by the principle that “Objects should never shout.” Some notable works include the Thinking Man’s Chair (1985–1988), Samsung SGH-E590 (2007), and the TW 2000 Hanover light rail vehicle. Morrison earned a Bachelor of Design degree from Kingston Polytechnic Design School in 1982 and a master’s degree in Design from the Royal College of Art, London, in 1985. He also studied at the Berlin University of the Arts.
